Revival Academy of Dance students and parents will be offered fundraising opportunities throughout the year! We welcome your help with fundraisers. Monies collected will be for the sole purpose of supporting the Phoenix Company Dancers.
PLEASE NOTE: Periodically throughout the dance season your children will be photographed during class. These photographs will be used in an end of the year recital calendar that will be sold as a fundraiser on recital night, for advertising purposes, and on promotional products. If you DO NOT want your child’s picture taken please notify the staff of Revival Academy of Dance ASAP. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Phoenix Company Dancers will sponsor studio parties several times during the year. This will allow the Revival Academy of Dance students the opportunity to mix, mingle and meet each other.
RAD Gives Back
RAD Gives Back is a group of dancers and mothers whose sole purpose is to give back to the community. During the year they participate in community service activities such as: collecting food for CHIP-IN, collecting items for Abbey House, Thanksgiving Baskets, and clothing drives. If you would like to help out or know of people in need please contact Melissa Miller through the studio.
Pictures of the dancers in costume will be taken by Mike Nyman at the dance studio in early spring. Mike Nyman has been photographing dancers for many years. He provides us with high quality photos at reasonable prices. His work can be viewed on his website at http://mikenymanphotography.com
Revival Academy of Dance will have their annual recital in early June. More information regarding the exact date and place of the recital will be available mid-season. There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal a couple of days prior to the recital. Videos of the performance can be purchased through KPS Video. Flash photography and videotaping are prohibited the night of the recital.
All students are expected to be dressed appropriately for dance class. Appropriate dress is defined as: a leotard and tights, hair secured back and off of face, and the necessary shoes. Black jazz pants are allowed for tap and hip hop classes per the teachers’ discretion. Buns and pink tights are required for all ballet classes. No extra clothing will be permitted other than ballet shorts, ballet skirts, or knit warm-ups per the teachers’ discretion. Please see specific class description for specific dress codes.
Although we try to provide a friendly atmosphere at Revival Academy of Dance, it is important for students to be respectful and quiet during class. This will help teachers and assistant teachers of Revival Academy of Dance to provide a nurturing and learning environment. Please remember to encourage each other in a supportive manner and to work together as a team. There is a ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY for disruptive behavior during class and in the waiting area. Students not conforming to this rule will be asked to leave class.
Repeat incidences will result in being asked to leave the studio permanently.
